    • After completing a doctorate in Zoology and spending over a decade researching zebra in East and Southern Africa, Halszka now focuses on wildlife drawing intended to raise awareness around conservation. She aims to stir up an appreciation for a species by capturing their beauty and individual character.

    • Halszka grew up on the Garden Route in the Western Cape. 

      Halszka first obtained a PhD in Zoology and then worked in wildlife research and conservation focusing on species such as black rhino, elephant and then zebra for more than a decade. She has travelled extensively in Africa and worked in Tanzania for a period. 

      Since becoming a mother of two and settling in Plettenberg Bay has had the chance to pursue her passion for art. Now, full-time artist, Halszka is inspired by her deep love of animals and her passion for conservation, her art is focussed primarily on wildlife whereby through her art she aims to stir up an appreciation for species by capturing their beauty and individual character.
