This original artwork titled Ingulule by David Bucklow portrays the Cheetah, the fastest land animal capable of running at 80 to 128 km/h and as such has several adaptations for speed including a light build, long thin legs and a long tail. The word "Ingulule" means cheetah in isiZulu.
In an artistic style that is most definitely photo-realistic and showing tremendous talent and technique in the detailed treatment of his artworks, David’s content repertoire includes many of South Africa’s iconic landscape and seascape scenes, as well as African portraits.
However, David’s heart belongs to his magnificent and beloved wildlife paintings. Filled with colourful detail and character, each of his wildlife artworks is brought to life by the attention to detail of the animal's mesmerising eyes.
David proudly notes: “When you get the eyes just right, the artwork comes to life and it is almost as if you can feel the animal’s stare as you walk
