The Colours of Bo-Kaap

By Colin Wilkinson

Oil on Board / 104 x 110cm-Framed
  • Colin seeks inspiration in the broad canvass of the South African landscape and its people just going about their daily chores. Whether onshore or at sea or on land, Colin will project scenes and moods back to us in a way that makes us feel we knew it all along. But we didn’t did we… not before we saw things through the artist's eyes.

In style, we can place Colin and his work firmly in the camp of modern South African Post Impressionism. His increasing use of Impasto techniques gives further depth to his studies.

  • Colin was born in 1950 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Although Colin has had no formal training, he spent many hours learning and developing his talent from his mother who was an artist.
