Franschhoek Art Gallery - Established in 2006 and situated on the main road of the Franschhoek village in the majestic Franschhoek valley, the elegant and contemporary Vineyard Gallery Franschhoek invites you to view and purchase some of South Africa's finest artworks. From within this charming renovated old Victorian home, surrounded by mature oak trees, sits a modern, light and bright art gallery offering a comprehensive selection of South African fine art.
Contemporary original paintings on display include South African landscape art (including some of South Africa’s finest wine estate, vineyard and wineland scenes) and seascapes, wildlife and township art, abstract and post-impressionist art. In addition, the gallery also offers a selection of bronze sculptures, up-market decor items, together with an extensive collection of limited edition giclee reproductions by various artists.
Vineyard Gallery Franschhoek also boasts the largest permanent exhibition of the world-famous Ardmore Ceramics in Franschhoek. Considered one of South Africa's greatest ceramic art exports; coined by Christies of London auction house a 'modern-day collectible'. As an official Ardmore Ceramics authorised gallery, all of the hand-painted original ceramic sculptures in the exhibition are available for sale. The Vineyard Gallery constantly receives new Ardmore Ceramic artworks to add to their ever-growing collection, on offer for purchase.
The Vineyard Gallery also hosts the Ardmore Design fabric collection, which is inspired by the painted designs of the Ardmore Ceramics.
