Kudu Walking in the Bushveld
Experience the captivating allure of the South African bushveld with "Kudu Walking," an original oil painting by the esteemed artist Errol Norbury. This artwork gracefully captures the essence of a kudu in its natural habitat, with each brushstroke reflecting Errol's dedication to vivid detail and clarity.
Errol's deliberate and highly detailed brushwork technique brings his creations to life, from the deep blue mountain ranges to the sun-kissed winelands that shift with the seasons, and from the charming heritage of Cape Dutch homesteads to the breathtaking African sunsets. With a diverse range of subjects, Errol's artistic talent shines through, ensuring that each piece is a masterpiece in its own right. "Kudu Walking in the Bushveld" invites you to immerse yourself in the beauty of South Africa's wilderness, captured with remarkable skill and dedication.
Born in South Africa in 1949, Errol Norbury displayed artistic talent early in his life. Norbury went on to study commercial art and illustration at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Since 1972 Errol has concentrated on fine art focusing on oil painting. His choice of subject matter is wide and varied – seascapes, still lives, aircraft, landscapes, wildlife and his beloved bushveld scenes.
In 1981 Errol undertook his first overseas tour to Europe and the U.S.A. He exhibited in El Paso, Texas, in 1981 and 1982 and in Belgium and England. He quickly adapted his palette to those colours predominately in Europe and had complete sell-outs at his exhibitions.
Norbury has exhibited in the USA, Europe, and many South African galleries. His painting of a British Royal Navy ship was presented to Katharine Worsley, Duchess of Kent, in April 1999. The painting is now on permanent display at the UK's National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London.
