Andrew Cooper is a self-taught South African artist born in Cape Town, whose distinctive style combines semi-realism with a strong sense of mysticism and atmosphere. Painting professionally since 1987, Cooper began his career working in watercolour before moving into acrylics.

Deeply inspired by the landscapes of the Western Cape, his work celebrates the region’s mountains, coastlines, rivers, vineyards and semi-desert landscapes.
