Kalk Bay Harbour, a lively fishing village on the coast of False Bay, 25 km from Cape Town, is brought to life through the masterful artistry of Anita Lamberti Fuchs. Anita began her journey with watercolors, her first love, and has since honed the skill to achieve a loose, fluid appearance in oils, capturing the dynamic melding and flowing of pigments. Oils allow her to explore various styles and techniques, adding new dimensions to her art.
Specializing in landscapes and seascapes, Anita has a particular fondness for trees and forests. Living in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, she is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Her frequent walks lead her to breathtaking scenes that shift daily with the seasons and cloud formations, ensuring a fresh perspective every time.
Trees, especially, hold a special magic for Anita. In the forest, she feels a comforting presence from these tall, silent giants. Guided by her motto, "less is more," she strives for simplicity in her art, delighting in the thickness of the paint and using meaningful brushstrokes to create a powerful effect.
